How long have you been in business?
The firm has been in business for over 40 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is bookkeeping, personal and business tax, payroll, financial statements, and license applications.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became interested in accounting and tax while at the University of Tennessee . I worked after graduation with Ernst & Ernst, certified public accountants (now Ernst & Young). I also worked as controller for a local group of corporations. My CPA firm began in 1974.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Unlike larger CPA firms, and some small firms, I either do the work or closely supervise the work done for our clients-the experienced owner personal touch. Communication with the client is huge with us..we offer in most cases no fee consultation sessions during the off season.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently operate one office located in West Knoxville. Expansion to Lenoir City, TN is expected in the future.

Cedar Bluff off the interstate 40/75 and go north, turn right at McDonalds, proceed thru the 4 way stop, pass the post office on the left and we are about a quarter mile on the right, one level ranch office building with green metal roof, Suite 2.
What type of payments do you accept?
Check, cash, some credit cards.We offer 30 day accounts for business clients.
Which areas do you service?
We serve Knox County and all surrounding counties. We actually have tax clients in some 12 + states.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Jim Stiles, CPA is the owner and the day to day operations planner with major assistance from Lisa Smith, a employee of 7 years.
What are your hours of operation?
We are generally open from 6:15 am thru about 5 pm (officially 8 am thru 5 pm), 7 am thru 2 pm on Saturdays and open by necessity limited hours on Sundays during tax rush

That we show a personal interest in their bookkeeping, payroll, and tax needs all year long
