How long have you been in business?
Over 35 years in the travel industry and 6 years as a travel planner, consultant and agency. When wine shopping became legal for the state of Tennessee in September 2009, we added this wonderful opportunity to experience fine handcrafted wines to enhance our wine and culinary tours. This is a fabulous new business only recently available in Tennessee and a wonderful opportunity for you to become a wine consultant and work from your home and make your own hours.
What is your primary product or service?
IA Travel is your group travel specialist as well as planners for independent travel worldwide. We will customize a unique travel itinerary with your interests and ideas in mind. We are specialists in Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America as well as Europe and Southern Africa. We are also certified specialists for Sandals and Beaches Resorts, destination Spas ,Cancun and Small Ship River Cruises worldwide.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
With a background in the airline industry, we opened our home based travel agency 6 years ago. We have extensive travel experience and offer professional expertise along with this valuable experience to insure that you have the best vacation possible.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have an abundant knowledge of destinations worldwide as well as over 35 years of actual travel experience worldwide, which is something that many travel agents can't give their clients. We attend many workshops, travel expos and do resort tours all around the world. We are also available to our clients after hours, one weekends and holidays.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location with no plans to expand, however, we will meet the client at locations other than our office.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From Knoxville go toward Sevierville on Chapman Highway to Seymour. At the first traffic light turn right onto Burnett Station Road. Go approximately 2 miles and you will see a large home on the right that has a white fence around it. At the far end of the fence our driveway is less than 100 yards on the left. A large black mailbox with the numbers 1011 on it and a road sign that says "RANCHO RAINWATER" marks the gravel driveway. Our office is in the building at the very end of the driveway.
What type of payments do you accept?
All bookings require credit card payments. Most cards accepted. See our website for more information.

Primarily the 10 county area around Knoxville
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Cindy and Jerry Rainwater own and operate the company

10AM until 7PM Monday thru Saturday.
